Malad

Work for clients in Malad

Malad has a large working population employed in the offices and IT parks around Malad West and Malad East, along with established trading and small business communities. For many residents, the tax return is no longer simple: salary from more than one employer, ESOPs and RSUs, share and mutual fund trades, rental income and foreign assets all need to be reported correctly and matched with AIS.

Engagements are handled directly by the principal, supported by articled assistants. See all services and the compliance calendar for upcoming due dates.

Questions from clients in Malad

Is there a chartered accountant near Malad?

Yes. Vaz & Associates is in Borivali West, two stations from Malad on the Western line. Call +91 95384 16161 or email ryan@vazassociates.in to arrange a meeting, or share documents and work remotely.

Can you file returns for salaried employees with ESOPs, RSUs or share trading?

Yes. These returns need careful working of perquisites, capital gains lot by lot, foreign asset schedules where shares are held abroad, and matching with AIS and Form 26AS before filing.

I have returned to India after working abroad. What changes for my taxes?

In the first years after return you may qualify as Resident but Not Ordinarily Resident (RNOR), during which foreign income is generally not taxed in India. Status has to be worked out from days of stay each year, and foreign accounts may need reporting once you become resident.

Can everything be done online?

Yes. Documents can be shared by email or a shared folder, and meetings held online. Clients who prefer to meet can visit the Borivali West office by appointment.
